Aris Quartett - Video

To accompany the release of its fourth GENUIN CD, the Aris Quartett has made this short film about a special project that should have been a landmark in 2020, the year of Beethoven’s 250th anniversary celebrations: a concert on 26 March at Vienna’s Musikverein, commemorating Beethoven’s death day, including a new commission from Gerald Resch. Instead, and utilising some of its BBT Award 2020, the quartet took both Resch’s Third Quartet ‘attacca‘ and Beethoven’s First Razumovsky Quartet (Op 59 No 1) into the recording studio, and in this film explores the connections between the two works.
