Over two seasons at exciting live concerts in the Royal Festival Hall, Augustin Hadelich laid down both Lalo’s Symphonie espagnole (all-too rarely appearing either on the concert platform or disc) and the concerto that it inspired, Tchaikovsky’s. Hadelich was joined by the London Philharmonic, which has released this disc on its own label, as well as two conductors: Omer Meir Wellber for the Lalo and Vasily Petrenko for the Tchaikovsky.
