Formed at London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2019, the Fibonacci Quartet has quickly forged a reputation as one of Europe’s stellar young string quartets and has an impressive portfolio of prizes, including both the First and Audience Prize at the Premio Paolo Borciani International String Quartet Competition and, in 2026, a BBT Fellowship and the Merito Prize. The Quartet has also been announced as Associate Ensemble for Music at Paxton’s 20th anniversary (2027-29) and a member of the European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO) Rising Stars programme in 2027/28.
Praised for the expressive vitality of their ensemble playing, the Fibonaccis display “heart-melting lyricism” and “passionate intensity” (The Arts Desk) and embrace a wide range of repertoire, including their own arrangements of jazz to heavy metal.
