Invetstigating Proust’s musical inspriation behind In Search of Lost Time

While recording their album The Vinteuil Sonata, which explores Marcel Proust’s musical inspirations behind À la recherche du temps perdu, sisters Maria and Nathalie Milstein were filmed playing the two Reynaldo Hahn song transcriptions that appear on the Mirare disc.   In this UNIK ACCESS film (images Bénédicte Banet and sound Franck Jaffrès), Hahn’s L’heure exquise (The exquisite hour, originally setting Verlaine) is from the set of seven Chansons grises.  Maria is a Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship winner (2016) and put some of her prize to both the recording and films.
