It has been such an honour to receive this award from the Borletti-Buitoni Trust. As a young conductor growing up in London, it has provided me with not only a huge financial support, but also the opportunity to learn from one of the greatest living pianists, Mitsuko Uchida. Having the luxury to acquire scores, recordings, and books for projects that will happen later in my career has been a real blessing. The award has been instrumental in helping to start my new chamber orchestra and the advice offered by Susan Rivers is something that cannot be priced. Thanks to the BB Trust for making this all happen!
