Post-concert in the Front Room: Llyr Williams performed Ives’ Concord Sonata (2ndmovement Hawthorne) followed by a jazz set with Quatuor Ebène with special guests Stacey Kent and Jim Tomlinson.

BBT UNWRAPPED opened with a provocative debate Is Talent Enough? with panelists percussionist Colin Currie, writer and broadcaster Tom Service, Wigmore Hall’s John Gilhooly, Decca’s Paul Moseley, artist manager Sonia Simmenauer and international arts consultant Martijn Sanders, plus an opening filmed statement from Mitsuko Uchida.

Masterclasses for students from the London Conservatoires were given by Colin Currie percussion and Jörgen van Rijen trombone.
